THE SIXTH SENSE ~ 1999

By now, surely everyone’s seen this, right? That twist at the end rocked my socks off in 1999 and now, now that we know what’s up, it’s still entertaining to watch knowing what we know and how things react to him. Always a good one and I Toni Collette.

UNBREAKABLE ~ 2000

A lot of people like to rag on M. Night these days because his stuff hasn’t been that spectacular but I enjoy most of his stuff. Unbreakable is one of my favorite movies. I mean that and I stand by it. Don’t hate! Peace!

SIGNS ~ 2002

You know you liked this the first time you saw it. You know you did. Come on, admit it. Then you saw it again and realized it wasn’t that great after all. I mean, these aliens can conquer interstellar space travel but can’t get out of a locked cupboard. Blogga please!

THE VILLAGE ~ 2004

I think this is where people started to get dissatisfied with our man Shyamalan. This story was pretty flimsy and this is where he started making people do “his dialogue”, blatantly copying D Mamet. We did get to meet Ron Howard’s kid though – and she’s a hot act! I also her.

LADY IN THE WATER ~ 2006

Not a lot of people had good things to say about this and I really don’t either. This was pretty boring and Night gave himself a pretty big roll. Beauty Bryce couldn’t save this one, sorry Shyamalan.

THE HAPPENING ~ 2008

When I went and saw this in the theater I thought that everything looked good and we got some nice visuals but the story – WHAT?? Trees are mad at us so they release toxins which make us kill ourselves?? What?? Marky Mark and his friends can outrun the wind?? WHAT??  Subsequent viewing did not help the matter any.

 THE LAST AIRBENDER ~ 2010

The only one of his movies I did not go to see in the theater and I am glad I didn’t pay my good money for this stinker. This had some good special effects but everything else kinda sucked.  Hopefully his next effort will be better – “After Earth” with Will Smith and his kid.
